Yayoi Kusama Print Works
Beyond her oversized pumpkins and immersive installations, Kusama’s visual universe extends through numerous art practices. From poetry, film or her latest collaboration in fashion with Louis Vuitton to printmaking.
At The Kyoto City KYOCERA Museum of Art an exhibition focused on Yayoi Kusama and Printmaking and reveal how the artist has used printmaking media to expand her visual universe and reach a broader audience.
Since the 1970s, Kusama has explored print techniques ranging from silkscreen and lithography to traditional japanese ukiyo-e woodblock printing. Allowing her visions of the infinite to proliferate beyond the walls of museums and into the hands of collectors worldwide.
